Join the Joy: Our Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt!
Easter is just around the corner, and it’s time for one of our favorite traditions at Glen Dale United Methodist Church! On Saturday, April 4th, at 10:30 AM, we will once again host our Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt at the Glen Dale City Park.
This cherished event has grown tremendously over the last three years, allowing us to distribute over 7,000 eggs to more than 500 local children. It is a beautiful morning filled with laughter, games, and even a special visit from the Easter Bunny for family photos! While we wait for the hunt to begin, children can enjoy a dedicated craft area and various activities facilitated by local students and volunteers.
How You Can Help
The success of this event is a direct reflection of our vibrant and supportive congregation. We invite you to participate in making this year’s hunt the best one yet through several opportunities:
-
Candy Donations: We are seeking donations of individually wrapped candy small enough to fit inside a standard Easter egg.
-
Monetary Gifts: Financial contributions are gratefully accepted to help purchase candy and supplies for the event.
-
Volunteer Your Time: Join us at the church on April 13th at 6:30 PM for an "Egg Packing Party" to help prepare the 7,000+ eggs for the hunt.
