Community Nativity Project Brings 14 Churches Together
Monday, December 22 · 5:00–7:00 PM · St. Jude Park

This year, we are thrilled to join with 13 other local churches for a very special Community Nativity Project— ride-through Christmas experience for all ages! The event will take place on Monday, December 22nd from 5:00–7:00 PM at St. Jude Park, and everyone is warmly invited to attend and bring friends and neighbors along.

Visitors will travel through seven scenes that tell the story of Christ’s birth. To make the journey easy and enjoyable, wagons will be available to carry guests around the park loop. After riding through the scenes, guests are welcome to stop by St. Jude’s Hall to enjoy caroling, hot chocolate, and plenty of cookies.

Our Church’s Scene: The Journey of the Three Kings

Our congregation has the privilege of presenting a scene featuring the Three Kings as they prepare for their long journey to Bethlehem. This is a wonderful opportunity to be part of something meaningful—and we could use many helping hands!

Ways You Can Help

There is a place for everyone to participate, whether you love crafting, organizing, baking, or being part of the scene itself. Here are some of the needs:

Before & After the Event

  • Help design the scene
  • Assist with set-up and tear-down on Monday

Scene Volunteers

  • People to portray servants preparing for the journey
  • Crafters to make props such as:
    • A map
    • The gifts of the Magi
    • Other decorative items
    • Costumes for the Kings and servants
  • Writers to help prepare a 1–2 minute script for the Kings and / or the servants

Hospitality & Guest Support

  • Cookie bakers (our church needs to provide 10 dozen cookies)
  • Volunteers to greet and help organize visitors as they board wagons
  • Helpers to assist guests getting on and off the wagons safely
  • Singers

Items Needed

  • 1–2 canopies
  • Trunks or boxes to decorate the scene
  • Rugs to put on the ground
  • Cookie donations (store-bought or homemade welcome!)

This event is a beautiful way to share the Christmas story with our entire community—and to celebrate the season together. Whether you can lend time, creativity, supplies, or cookies, your contribution will make a real difference.

If you’re interested in helping, please contact the church office or see Sandy Wiseman on Sunday.
Let’s make this a joyful and memorable gift to our neighbors!
