There are many times that life throws us such severe storms, fears, challenges, or set backs that we feel we are in a pit so deep that not even God can pull us out. This is not true. There is no where God's love can't reach and no problem God's presence can't make a difference in.  I was reminded that this morning as I read a quote from Corrie Ten Boom who was a holocaust survivor and a follow of Jesus. Her ministry was one that spread forgiveness after the war ended and is famous for meeting and forgiving one of the prison guards of the concentration camp she was held in. I pair her words here with the words of the Psalm 139, a promise that God is with us even in the darkest of places.

Where can I go from your spirit?
    Or where can I flee from your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, you are there;
    if I make my bed in Sheol, you are there.
